Hypnotherapy is one of the oldest and most effective forms of therapy, with roots going back thousands of years to ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Indian healing traditions. Today, modern hypnotherapy is recognized as a scientifically supported approach to creating meaningful and lasting change in both mind and body.
At its core, hypnotherapy uses a deeply relaxed state of focused attention, known as hypnosis, to access the subconscious mind. This allows us to uncover and transform unhelpful patterns, thoughts, and behaviours, replacing them with positive and empowering alternatives. Despite common myths, hypnosis is entirely safe—you remain fully in control during the session, aware of your surroundings, and able to recall everything afterward.
How does It Work?
Hypnosis is a natural state we all experience daily, such as when daydreaming or becoming immersed in a book or movie. In a hypnotherapy session, I guide you into this state, where your mind is more open to positive suggestion. Together, we work toward your specific goals, whether they involve reducing anxiety, building confidence, breaking unwanted habits, or improving your overall well-being.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Every person is unique, and so is their journey with hypnotherapy. While some people may notice significant changes after just one or two sessions, others may require more time to fully address their desired outcomes. On average someone might have three or four sessions, but it might be appropriate for someone to receive up to twenty sessions. My approach is always goal-focused, and I work to help you achieve results as quickly and effectively as possible—never delaying progress unnecessarily.
Effective for Children
Hypnotherapy is not just for adults—it’s an incredibly effective and gentle approach for children too. Children often respond exceptionally well to hypnosis because of their naturally imaginative and open minds. Whether it’s addressing anxiety, sleep issues, or building confidence, hypnotherapy can make a real difference in a child’s life.
